Hamstring Strain – Case Study 4

David is a 22-year-old semi professional footballer who sustained a hamstring strain that put him out of action for two months last season and had re occurred only three weeks into the new season!

Understandably fed up he attended to see one of our Physiotherapists for advice and treatment.

His injury was assessed by the physiotherapist and then referred to Dr David Lewis within the practice who specialises in Ultrasound scanning of injuries such as this and works for the medical team at Ipswich Town Football Club.

Having accurately diagnosed the extent of the injury, the physiotherapists initiated a programme of rehabilitation and David then went on to attend the Pilates gym which helped to identify and correct a weakness that was leading to the recurrent hamstring problem.
