Jane Rapkin

Jane Rapkin qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1987 from Leeds University. She has enjoyed a varied career having worked extensively within the NHS specialising in the musculoskeletal field and gaining valuable experience at two large teaching hospitals, the United Leeds Teaching Hospital and Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. Jane has been involved in audit, clinical teaching and service development as well as working with G.P’s and in hospital clinics with consultants.

 

For the last eight years Jane has been working in private practice at Gilmour Piper. She believes in a holistic approach in which patients are well informed about their problem and options for treatment. Jane’s special interest is in the examination and treatment of shoulders in which she is locally renowned.

 

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Professions Council, and regularly attends courses that demonstrate her commitment to continued professional development.

 

Jane has three children, which provide endless joy and keep her busy. She enjoys walking a rather over excitable springer spaniel, playing hockey and writing books.
