Practice
About our practice
Gilmour Piper began as an Osteopathic Practice some 25 years ago. Patient demand, a focus on patient care and excellence has driven its growth and development so that our practice now offers far more than osteopathy alone.
Experience and research evidence has demonstrated that whilst Osteopathy has much to offer our patients, it is not the only, quickest or most effective in every case. For this reason we have developed a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of back pain and musculoskeletal injuries. By including a number of carefully selected disciplines under one roof we are able to identify at the earliest stage which practitioner is most appropriate to deal with any given condition. If for any reason the patient is not responding to one approach we can, through team discussion, identify, in the patient’s best interest, which should be the next course of action. Good communication through weekly Team Meetings is an extremely important part of our multidisciplinary approach. It is formally documented and facilitates the quickest access to the most effective form of treatment.
Specialities currently available include:
Osteopathy
Physiotherapy
Spinal Physician
X-ray and Imaging Services
Chiropody/Podiatry

As well as in-house specialities we are able to arrange referrals to healthcare practitioners well known to us but external to our practice.
Our practice is housed in newly refurbished and spacious premises close to the town centre amenities and bus routes. There are disabled access facilities, lift and car park.
