Practice hours are generally Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am and 7.30 pm and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Outside office hours and at weekends we operate an answerphone system so that in emergencies, advice can be obtained quickly. In extreme circumstances it may be impossible for you to get to us and we will, if necessary, visit you to advise and treat where possible. Insurance Schemes We are registered with BUPA and PPP as Specialist. Many insurance policies will cover the treatment you require. Sometimes the insurance companies require that you are referred to us by your own GP or a Consultant before starting treatment. It would be wise, should this situation arise, for you to check with either us or your insurers first. X-Rays We have an X-ray unit on the site run by a State Registered Radiographer and use the services of a Consultant Radiologist who will give specialist advice on these matters if required. Where necessary we can organise specialist investigations such as MRI scans quickly and obtain the necessary reports before discussing them with you. These sort of investigations are helpful to us in the assessment of your framework and determining the best treatment for you. We may make them available to any health care professional who may require them with your consent. Reports If you are referred to us by your Doctor, we will keep him informed of your progress. We often liaise with GP's and consultants regarding patients' conditions. We will ask for your consent before we send anyone details of your condition. Patients may ask us to prepare reports for their work place or for Solicitors following industrial or road traffic injuries. Occupational Health Companies often find it cost effective to pay for their employees' treatment to minimise time lost from work. For this reason we have developed an Employers’ Business Programme to enable employers and their staff to derive the best benefit from their relationship with us (link to Employers Business Programme). We can advise them on your rehabilitation and we are qualified to help Companies to comply with Health & Safety Regulations. Lectures & Talks - We are available to undertake lectures, informal talks and demonstrations to groups of people and these can range from medical groups to Sports Clubs and local meeting groups. Sports Individuals and sports teams often ask us to help with management of injuries prior to specific events. We are available to travel with sports teams who are required to provide their own sports injury backup. We are here to help if you have a problem or need any advice. Please ask and we will endeavour to do our best. DHSS Certificates Where it is necessary for you to be away from work in order to facilitate recovery we can issue these certificates.
