James Zarro

Osteopathy

James’ first degree in Sport Science paved the way for his introduction into musculoskeletal injuries and biomechanical assessments. Osteopathy was, therefore, an obvious progression due to its numerous approaches to treatment.

After graduating as an Osteopath from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003, James began practising at Gilmour Piper. As a skilled structural and cranial registered osteopath, James treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions in both adults and children.

In 2005, James undertook his Masters In Paediatric Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. This included placements at Barnet Hospital’s Starlight Neonatal clinic and the acute paediatric ward, and at the renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children in London. He’s also gained experience at other multidisciplinary clinics in Ely and Bury St Edmunds.

Initital consultations for babies and toddlers are taken over the phone prior to booking face to face.  For this reason, please call the practice if you wish to book your baby/toddler in

In 2014, James joined other volunteer Osteopaths from around the world in Peru, South America, as part of trip organised through the Canadian College of Osteopathy. He treated adults and children, and gained great insight into managing conditions not frequently seen in everyday practice in the UK.

James has trekked to Base One Mount Everest and Macchu Picchu, enjoys training in Japanese jujitsu, and persists with playing the guitar. One day, he hopes to finally learn to speak Italian – after numerous efforts already!
