Marc Rapkin

Physiotherapy

Marc graduated from Royal Liverpool School of Physiotherapy in 1992 then, while working in the NHS, began to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Since then, he’s been a clinical tutor to undergraduate and postgraduate students from several universities and earned postgraduate qualifications in joint manipulation, acupuncture and sports medicine. In fact, as part of his continuous professional development, Marc likes to take on a postgraduate course each year.

Most recently, with the University of Edinburgh, he studied the causes of headaches and relevant treatments – including acupuncture. Clinically, he now tends to use gentle manipulations combined with acupuncture and exercise.

A partner at Gilmour Piper since 2006, Marc’s enjoyed seeing the clinic flourish – a testament, he believes, to the skill and dedication of all those who work here. He’s also convinced that the multidisciplinary team approach is unrivalled, not least because of the excellent clinical outcomes for patients.

In his spare time, Marc enjoys cooking, walking, badminton and cycling – and plays guitar enthusiastically (though not necessarily all that well).
