Dr Anita Weerakoon is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist committed to providing high quality individualised patient care. She has completed Specialty training in Rheumatology and is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians London and a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.
She has special interest in management of arthritis including Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Spondyloarthritis, Osteoarthritis, Gout and Pseudogout. She is keen to help patients with generalised pain and fatigue including Fibromyalgia and to treat patients with osteoporosis.
Dr Weerakoon provides joint and soft tissue injections, pharmacological and nonpharmacological options in treatment of rheumatology conditions.
She provides patient education and education events for medical students, GPs and Multidisciplinary team colleagues.
