Graeme is a Consultant in Adult and Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics, and was appointed as a substantive trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant in 2015. He works at both the Ipswich Hospital (ESNEFT) and Norfolk and Norwich (NNUH).

At Gilmour Piper, Graeme provides a consultation service for children and adolescents. We can arrange for the appropriate scans and investigations across a wide variety of children’s orthopaedic conditions. He also undertakes medico-legal work for adults and children, with Gilmour Piper offering high quality support facilities and multidisciplinary assistance where needed.

Before his appointments in East Anglia, Graeme trained at children’s hospitals in Auckland and Sydney, Australia as well as in south west England. He undertook general Orthopaedic training in adults and children at the Royal Cornwall, Derriford (part Ministry of Defence), the Major Trauma Centre in Plymouth, and the internationally renowned Royal Devon and Exeter.

Graeme has an interest in all aspects of Paediatric Orthopaedics, including hip surgery for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) and Perthes disease. In addition, he has experience in neuromuscular conditions including cerebral palsy and hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies (HSMN). He’s also interested in traumatic injuries (broken bones) and children’s bone and joint infections, as well as complex foot and ankle problems. These include club feet, sporting injuries and deformity correction, in addition to children’s elbow problems.

Graeme also continues to treat adults with complex disabilities, as well as sporting and accidental injuries.
