Mark’s been in practice for 30 years, having qualified from the British School of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopaths) in London. Having worked at two practices in the capital, he settled in Ipswich in 1992 and has been instrumental in the development and growth of Gilmour Piper. He’s proud that it’s one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary practices with osteopathy at the forefront.
Within day-to-day practice , Mark’s committed to evidence-based care and the provision of high-quality osteopathic care within a primary healthcare team. He’s Consultant Osteopath to Ipswich Town Football Club – a role that includes working with the first team on match days – and a consultant to Colchester United Football Club. He’s also worked with professional golfers, international cricketers and title-holding boxers.
Mark has taught, and been an Examiner of Clinical Competence, at osteopathic schools in the UK and across Europe, including Hamburg, Milan, Paris and Vienna. He’s also an experienced expert witness, providing evidence in civil and criminal cases within UK courts. The Law Lords have upheld his evidence on professional matters in the Court of Appeal.
Outside of practice, Mark continues to try – and continues to fail! – to improve his golf handicap.
