Physiotherapy in

The physiotherapy in Ipswich that our practice provides can offer pain relief to muscles, joints, ligaments and nerves. One of our expert Chartered Physiotherapist will take a full history of your condition and then examine you to find the cause of the problem.

Gilmour Piper’s physios treat a variety of conditions including back pain, neck ache, trapped nerves, joint and muscle sprains and sports injuries. We have specialists in musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions, plus women’s health acupuncture.

Physiotherapy examinations involve the physio closely observing your body’s posture and range of movement. They’ll also perform key movements themselves, and feel and work on your injured tissues – a skill known as palpation that’s honed over many years of experience.

With your examination complete, your physiotherapist will be able to discuss your problem in more detail and agree a treatment plan with you. The treatment will usually involve massage, manipulation and exercises. We may also use ultrasound, shockwave therapy, acupuncture and muscular balancing techniques to strengthen the inevitable weaknesses that occur after injury.

All of the physios working at Gilmour Piper in Ipswich have the relevant professional qualifications and are registered with the Health Professions Council.

After years of fairly consistent back trouble, it got to the point where it just gave up. I collapsed in the street and was unable to walk.

I had a few sessions with the osteopath with immediate success. The physiotherapy sessions were initially 3 days a week but my progression was very impressive. The Osteopath and the Physiotherapist were both amazing; they kept me motivated and managed my expectations when (on the odd occasion) things didn’t go to plan.
